Descriptions
Free chlorine is the most important disinfectant in water treatment due to its easy handling, the strong disinfecting effect, and the depot effect. The chlorine sensor with membrane-covered, amperometric 2-electrode system water quality probe is designed for the measurement of free inorganic chlorine at constant pH.
The measurands of the chlorine sensor water quality probe is NaClO (sodium hypochlorite), Ca(ClO)2(calcium hypochlorite), Cl2 (chlorine gas), chlorine generated by membrane-electrolysis. It has integrated automatic temperature compensation. The size of the chlorine sensor is standard 175 mm, and up to 220 mm in length (mA-Version).

Applications Of The Chlorine Sensor
Swimming pool water, drinking water, service water, process water. The water must not contain any surfactants (tensides)! pH-value must be constant.
Advantages Of The Chlorine Sensor
The chlorine sensor water quality probe helps to achieve safe and efficient disinfection by providing stable and fast measured values. The temperature compensation is automatical, by an integrated temperature sensor. Sudden temperature changes must be avoided.
In addition, we should pay attention to the Interferences: ClO2 is being registered with factor 9 of its measured value; O3 is registered; with membrane-less chlorine electrolysis interferences may occur.
